150 homes proposed on Green Belt Land North of Chipperfield Road in Kings Langley

You may have seen the recent flyer that was posted through doors in Kings Langley regarding the Hill Farm site, which is located north of Chipperfield Road and west of Love Lane.

This is another proposed development on Kings Langley’s Green Belt, and whilst the proposal does provide some benefits for Kings Langley School and the Sunnyside Trust, there is no guarantee of additional school places, health facilities or road improvements that would effectively mitigate the additional traffic the development will generate through our village.

The site is not in the Local Plan and will be the subject of a planning application this month.

The cumulative effect of this application, along with Rectory farm (also not in the Local Plan), plus the proposed Shendish development, which is in the Local Plan, would bring the total number of new dwellings in Kings Langley to 840, on these three sites alone.

On Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November, the developer, builder and architects held a community event at Kings Langley Secondary School, which set out the vision for the development and next steps. All of this information was displayed on boards, which can be found here.

This is a key part of engaging local people in the proposals and provides an opportunity to comment. If you wish to have you say, you can submit your comments by email to : community@jtp.co.uk or by post to Freepost JTP (no stamp needed).

The deadline for comments is Monday 9th December 2024.
